Bedding down by DontAskForCookie Bedding down by DontAskForCookie
Thanks for 300 page-views guys!

I know it has been slow for me here on DA the past week but I have been swamped with work, getting my pnp FOE game started, and of course working on this bad boy. Hope this can make up for nearly a solid week with no updates!

In the foreground we have my OC Cookie-Crumb perched on top of a half buried truck, taking one last opportunity to observe the ruins in the dwindling light of dusk. He even takes of his gas-mask to get a better look! Still cant get a good look at it from this angle but you may notice the scars...

Anyway, so what is this place and what is his fascination with it? No clue, its just a random background. I didn't even really plan the city, it just sort of popped up while inking.

Please leave a note below, especially if you were one of the ones who helped me on my way to 300 page views, I would like to thank you. Oh and while you are commenting why not pitch your thoughts and ideas about what this place is and why cookie is so interested?

Oh and as always I would like to remind anyone who is shopping around that I do commissions.

Realy like detail in it! The mood goes so well with the perspective! The car looks amazing too! I presume you draw cars regulary scince you got the angle of it all perfect! :D And advice i would give for your drawings in the future, but this is just my opinion, and that is try to shade some more! Shading realy helps to make the picture look deeper! :)

Thanks!

Actually I don't really draw cars that often, hardly at all really. As a matter of fact I don't even drive (embarrassing fact: 24 year old without license). I just really like the look of old cars, Im not really happy with how the rust turned out but I am rather proud of the shape of the whole thing.

Oh and I am still working on shading, I can shade just fine in pencil but when it comes to digitally coloring my work in gimp? Im still pretty amateur. Shading is definitely something I need work with.

Yeah darn rust is a bitch to make look right. XD But you did a good job on it! The way you draw rust goes well with your style! :)

Well the picture I am working on now will probably give me a nice challenge as it will involve quite a bit more rust and water damage. Im inking it now so I should have it up either by tomorrow or the next day depending on how much work I get done on it tonight.

Thanks, and yes.
Well, as deep as you would call Google searching various pictures of rusty old cars.

Lol, I suppose so, strangely being an art student myself, I have tons of trouble finding the references I need.

Dear lord you have no idea how much I rely on google images for this, its like a crutch really. I mean I used to buy books with interesting things I thought I might use in my art, but you know... that cost some serious money to keep up.
